Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT)

For Admission to MBBS or BDS program, there are 4 types of tests. (not valid for admission in all universities)

1. National MDCAT Entry Test
2. NUMS Entry Test
   1. NUMS Cadet
   2. Medical Cadet
   3. Paying Cadet
3. AKU Entry Test
4. FMDC Entry Test

• National MDCAT Entry Test:
  • The candidates applying for admission against MBBS/BDS Seats must have passed HSSC/F.sc(pre-medical) with a minimum of 70% (770/100) marks.
  • Merit determination as 50% HSSC/FCS and 50% Entry Test

• NUMS Entry Test:
  • Each year, the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) conducts the NUMS Entry Test for admission of MBBS/BDS courses in the Public sector and private sector medical and dental college affiliated with NUMS. Students with a minimum of 60% aggregate mark each in Matric and HSSC/F.sc.
  • Merit determination as 10% matric, 40% HSSC/F.sc, 50% Nums Test.
