Armed Forces Nursing Services is a special Core in Pakistan Army. Only females can join it. The registration in AFNS has started now. So the females candidates can join this profession for the services of the beloved country. This profession also pays an attractive salary.
Applications for AFNS
Applications from candidates are invited once a year for a grant of Commission in the AFNS. There are two types of courses in Armed Forces Nursing Services. The details of these are below.

Matriculation with Science(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with 60% marks.
F.Sc. Pre-Medical(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with 50% marks.
- Training
Four years B.Sc Nursing training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi.
AFNS Registration Date 2024
- Army Nursing Admission Start Date 2024: 20 June 2024
- AFNS Registration Last Date: 19 July 2024

- Qualification(Trained Nurses)
3 years Diploma & 1-year Midwifery

Four-week Basic Military Training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi.
AFNS Eligibility
All the Female citizens of Pakistan and having Domiciles holders of Azad Jammu & Kashmir are eligible for PAK Army Nursing Admission 2024. The major difference in two categories is mentioned below.
For Permanent Regular Commission (PRC)
- Gender: Female
- Age: 17-25 years
- Marital Status: Married/Unmarried. Widow/Separated divorcee without any encumbrances
For Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC)
- Gender: Females
- Age: 18-28 years
- Marital Status: Married/Unmarried
Physical Eligibility
- Height: The height of the candidate must be 5 Feet.
- Weight: The weight of the candidate should be according to Body Mass Index (BMI).
Ineligibility
Registration Process
- Candidates can register through the Pak Army Official website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
- At this site, the candidate will get a registration form.
- Fill this form carefully.
- Fulfill all requirements which are mentioned on this form.
- After the registration, the candidates will get the date of the Initial Test.
On the day of the Initial test, candidates of PRC & SSRC should bring the following documents with them on the day of the test and interview.
Register through the proper channel for PAK Army Nursing Admission 2024. Fill in the complete form and recheck that information is correct according to the form.
During PAK Army Nursing Admission be careful in Data Entry Especially, Name and CNIC putting. Candidates with false information will not be allowed for AFNS Test.

- 2 x attested photocopies of each educational certificate and domicile. Candidates must bring original certificates at the time of the written test/interview.

Initial Test
After the online registration, the candidate will get the date of the Initial Test. The Initial Test will conduct in your selected ASRC. The candidates should reach on the time which is mentioned of your registration slip along with the documents which are mentioned above.
The Initial Test will be taken on the computer screen. When a candidate will pass the first test then he will enter to solve the second once otherwise he will not able to open the second test. The Initial Test contains the following tests and these tests will be taken in a single day.
Verbal Intelligence Test
AFNS Verbal Intelligence Test contains 80 to 90 MCQs and the time allowed for verbal Intelligence Test is 30 minutes

PAK Army Nursing Admission 2024 Initial test is as per syllabus from the academic portion as given bellow.
Academic Test
The academic portion contains the test of following subjects:
- English
- Physics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- World G.K
- Pakistan Study
- Islamic history
The time for each test is specific. So, the candidate should solve the questions according to the time limit. Some questions have lengthy statements and some have very short. So the candidate should manage the time and solve the test in giving time because no extra time will be given.

Initial Medical Test
After the initial test, the successful candidates should call for the medical test. This medical test will be held in the same Army Services & Recruitment Centre where the Initial Test has been taken. This is a basic medical test. In this test following things are checked.
- Height
- Weight
- Eyes
- Nose
- Ear
- Teeth
- Knee Knocking
- Flat-Footed
- Overall body physique
Interview
The candidates who pass the initial test are called for an interview. The candidate should prepare herself for the interview. Simple questions are asked in this interview. The questions are related to Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge & Current affairs, etc.
The candidates should be dressed well on the day of the interview and do not puzzle in the answering of questions that are asked in the interview. Because in the interview they notice each are everything of candidates. So behave like a good and confident participant.

Final Medical Test
The selected candidates from the interview are called for the final medical test. This is a detailed medical test. In this test, every part of the body is examined. Highly qualified Doctors check the candidates. The candidates should not be ashamed and cooperate with them. In this test minor issues are resolved there. They suggest some cure and in some cases, they also suggest rest for a few weeks and then appear.

AFNS Merit List
The final step is the merit list. They issued a list that contains the names of successful candidates. These candidates are called for training after a few weeks. Only hardworking students become successful to get the name in this merit list.
Training
- Nursing Cadets after the final selection undergo Nursing Training in specified military hospitals of the country. Candidates are required to stay at the Nursing Messes provided for the purposes during the period of training.
- After successful completion of training, they are awarded a degree from the University of Health Sciences Lahore.
Bond
Finally selected candidates to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 10 years for B.Sc Nursing & for Trained Nurses Bond is not applicable.
Stipend
All selected candidates will be given the stipend of about RS.15000/- per month during their training. This is a very good stipend package. All other facilities like mess, medical, travel, etc are free of anycast.
Commission
On the completion of training, the candidates will be awarded a commission as Lieutenant. This is a very good rank in Pak Army. The salary package of Lieutenant is also interesting. It is a very nice job for females because in this job they serve the country on the front line.
